This section is named for the Titan goddess of light. She was responsible for giving all stones and precious metals their shine and intrinsic value. Each piece in this section is fabricated by hand using traditional silversmithing techniques, as such no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.

A coffin shaped cab of Coprolite, which is a fancy term for fossilized dinosaur poop, set in a hefty sterling setting and bordered with silver balls. On the back sits a hand sawed memento Mori scene of a skull and hourglass and crossbones specifically inspired by an altar piece in the Dublin Cathedral. Informed by later Georgian and Victorian momento Mori jewelry which often featured skulls and crossbones inside of the bands of rings or under stones to remind the wearer of their mortality and used the hourglass as a common symbol in mourning jewelry and on tombstones

The term momento Mori loosely translates to “remember that you must die”

On a 20 inch solid sterling silver oval link chain. The links are large enough to accommodate the lobster clasp allowing you to adjust the length shorter if you wish. The chain has been finished to match the semi gloss finish on the pendant. The pendant measures approximately 2 inches in height including the bail.

This is a one of a kind piece and the actual necklace you will receive.
